Tokyo (SCCIJ) – The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) is holding a “WATCH.SWISS” exhibition at the 26th Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, Tokyo. The event lasts two weeks ending on August 29.

This promotional event of the Japan subsidiary of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH covers seven different focus topics about Swiss watches – the country of Switzerland, the promise of Swiss Made, the history of the Swiss watch industry, design, precision, manufacture, and complication (additional features beyond indicating hours, minutes and seconds like day-of-the-week indicators, alarms, etc.). Moreover, Visitors can also experience the digital assembly of a mechanical watch movement on a touch-screen “workbench”. Nominal Support is given by the Embassy of Switzerland, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan Switzerland Tourism, the Swiss Business Hub Japan, and the Japan Watch Importers’ Association.
In addition, the “Swiss Watch Tour”: A journey to the holy places of Swiss Watch Making produced by FH Tokyo will be introduced. Visitors can learn about the tour plans and the highlights of the tour to create. The Swiss Watch Tour will present the fascinating world of Swiss watches and create interest in the achievements of this industry.
About the organizers
The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH (in French: (Fédération de l’industrie horlogère Suisse) is a leading association to protect and develop the Swiss watch industry, with offices in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland (head office), Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The FH currently represents around 500 members, or more than 90% of Swiss firms active in the production and sale of watches, clocks, and components. The objective is to uphold the members’ interests generally. FH Tokyo mainly assumes an important responsibility as an information center.
