We are pleased to invite you to our June luncheon with Dr. Daisuke Fujisawa, Associate Professor of Medicine, Keio University, who will deliver a speech titled “Mental Wellness in Uncertain Times: Practical Tools and Tips”.
For the past year and a half, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruption and uncertainty all around the world. Going through such unprecedented times can be distressing and take a toll on one’s mental health.
In this presentation for the SCCIJ, Dr. Fujisawa will share a few tips, based on positive psychology and mindfulness technics, to increase and maintain your mental wellness. This hands-on lecture will notably feature a few mental exercises that you can utilize in your daily life.

Biography of the Speaker:
Dr. Daisuke Fujisawa is a psychiatrist / clinical psychologist who specializes in mental health care of people with physical conditions. Recently he developed a program to cultivate mindfulness and compassion in health professionals, which is called the MaHALO program (Mindfulness for health professionals building resilience and compassion). The MaHALO program was demonstrated to reduce the stress and to raise the resilience of the participants.
