Automated inspection

Anybotics’ advanced mobile robots perform autonomous inspections, asset monitoring, and anomaly detection in complex industrial environments. Nihon Binary will offer the Swiss robot system “ANYmal” as a direct purchase or Robotics-as-a-Service solution and provide first-level support services, customer training, and technical expertise.

Nihon Binary and Anybotics have combined their automation and advanced-legged robotics expertise to provide better industrial inspection solutions. By leveraging local expertise, industry networks, and proximity to key players delivered through Nihon Binary, Anybotics can better address the specific needs of production facilities, improve customer support, and build a strong position in the crucial Japanese market.

The Swiss start-up was founded in 2016 and has grown rapidly to currently over 100 employees. It advertises its robotic inspection “as the leading solution for the oil & gas, chemical, and power sectors”. The new partnership and the robot Anymal were recently showcased at a reception at the Swiss Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo.

Reseller partner

The two robots of Anybotics – ANYmal and ANYmal X – create a rugged, autonomous, highly mobile inspection platform with adaptable payloads. They are the only scalable autonomous-legged inspection solution for safe use in hazardous and potentially explosive atmospheres.

The Swiss inspection solutions increase safety by reducing worker exposure to hazardous environments, improving predictive maintenance through early detection of equipment anomalies, and optimizing production through more accurate and frequent data collection.

“Expanding the network with accomplished reseller partners like Nihon Binary accelerates the global adoption of our robotic inspection solutions”, says Satschin Bansal, Global Vice President of Anybotics. “By partnering with Anybotics, Nihon Binary can leverage its expertise in advanced technology to expand its offerings,” adds Tamaharu Yoshimizu, President of Nihon Binary.

Established in 1979, Nihon Binary has been active in robotics solutions for over a decade and has delivered products to various customers in education, research, and industry. The Japanese company represents state-of-the-art electronic equipment and industrial robots from the US, EU, and Switzerland.
