We are pleased to invite you to our January 2024 “Economic & Financial Outlook” Luncheon with Mr. Steve Donzé, Deputy Head of Investment & Products at Pictet Asset Management Japan, who will deliver a speech titled “The Paths Back to Equilibrium in 2024”.

January Luncheon: “The Paths Back to Equilibrium in 2024”

Pre-pandemic, economies were near equilibrium after a decade of deleveraging from prior excesses. Then the pandemic struck and sent economies out of balance, with most economies experiencing an inflationary boom (US, Europe, UK), some undergoing a deflationary bust (China), while others stood in between (Japan). Despite improvement, conditions continue to diverge, suggesting the path to equilibrium has ways to run, with difficult policy choices ahead in 2024 and market volatility along the way. In his presentation for the SCCIJ, Mr. Steve Donzé (Pictet Asset Management Japan) will elaborate more on these divergences and how we can position to seize some of the biggest opportunities while mitigating risks.
