We are pleased to invite you to our April Luncheon with Mr. Axel Wellbrock (Founder & Representative Director, Kay Group K.K.) and Ms. Karin Wellbrock (Co-Founder & Partner, Kay Group K.K.), who will deliver a speech titled “The Art of Leading Diverse High-Performing Teams in Japan: Strategies for Success from the Start”.

April 2023 Luncheon: “The Art of Leading Diverse High-Performing Teams in Japan: Strategies for Success from the Start”

To remain competitive and stay ahead in today’s fast-paced business environment, companies need high-performing teams. However, managing teams in subsidiaries in Japan is challenging due to homogeneity and resistance to change. These factors hinder the integration of diverse aspects such as beliefs, experiences, and gender, among others. In their speech for the SCCIJ, Mr. Axel Wellbrock and Ms. Karin Wellbrock (Kay Group K.K. ) will touch upon what kind of diversity is most helpful to achieving business goals.

Since teams don’t develop by accident, the Speakers will stress the importance of team leaders. Building a high-performing team starts with guiding it through the storming phase. How can we lead through this phase? As part of their presentation, Mr. and Ms. Wellbrock will share war stories and demonstrate best practices in team facilitation for so-called co-creation that can be applied immediately to your organizations.
