We are pleased to invite you to our July Luncheon with Prof. Hugo P. Tschirky, PhD, DBA.

In all major economies enormous efforts are underway to strengthen competitiveness on both the national and the entrepreneurial levels. Here major initiatives comprise extensive basic and applied research programs in burgeoning fields such as the life sciences, energy, and the environment. These costly ventures are launched under the assumption that increasing the amount of innovation-relevant knowledge will automatically enhance the competitiveness of companies. In reality, it does not. Knowledge creation only becomes successful knowledge application when a firm’s technology and innovation management competence – representing the “Final Mile” – reaches a point where its business decisions coincide with its customers’ buying choices. For this reason, enhancing innovativeness responsibly on the national and the entrepreneurial levels must focus on two complementary issues of equal weight. Join the SCCIJ July Luncheon to learn more about those two issues!
