Successful Lindt Chocolate Cafés in Japan

Successful Lindt Chocolate Cafés in Japan

Tokyo (SCCIJ) – In addition to its wholesale business, Lindt Japan has opened 42 Chocolate Cafés in Japan over the course of the last eight years. How this came about was explained by Mr. André Zimmermann, Representative Director at Lindt Japan, at a joint chamber networking event. Almost half of the roughly 70 participants of this 6th CLIC event registered through the Swiss Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Japan, among them a very high number of Japanese.

CLIC is the abbreviation of “Creative Linking of International Chambers”, with the Austrian Business Council, the Belgian-Luxembourg, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish chambers as supporting organizations. According to its self-description, as speakers, CLIC aims to recruit representatives of the CLIC chambers operating a well-known company or brand to raise attractiveness of CLIC events for participants. The format involves a short presentation – usually 25-30 minutes, no power point – followed by a 10-15 minutes long Q&A session and the networking part. The main objective is to provide participants with an insight in how to succeed on the Japanese market, strategies and key factors.
