Join us for an outlook on Japan’s biomass efforts with Ms. Annette Bossler, Owner and Managing Director of Main(e) International Consulting LLC, and Senior Market Intelligence Expert at FutureMetrics LLC. Japan is the world’s fastest growing market for wood pellets, chips and palm kernel shells. The attractive Fee-in tariffs introduced in 2019 have resulted in a rapid increase in biomass co-firing and construction of new, dedicated biomass power plants. However, unlike solar PV and wind power, biomass power generation makes less headlines in Japan though this generation source is increasingly attracting investors and developers and provides opportunities for European firms in the biomass supply chain. This webinar will provide an overview of technologies as well as biomass fuel types and costs.
