The 8th CLIC Event: Moomin Monogatari

The SCCIJ, together with the Austrian Business Council, the Belgian-Luxembourg, Danish, Dutch, Greek, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish Chambers, is pleased to invite you to the 8th CLIC Event.

At this Joint Chambers Networking Event, Mr. Robert Hirst, Chairman of Moomin Monogatari Ltd. (Moomin Valley Park) will reveal the secrets behind the popularity of the Moomin characters in Japan and what made him the spokesperson for the Moomin.

About Moomin Monogatari
Moomin Monogatari is the theme park operating company behind Moomin Valley Park located in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture, opened in March 2019. Together with the neighboring Metsa Village opened in November 2018, these two parks offer a window to Nordic lifestyle and more deeply into the life of the Moomin Valley Characters ever so popular in Japan.

About Robert Hirst
Born in the UK, Robert Hirst graduated from Cambridge University and later went on to do an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania. His main career has been in investment banking and the companies he has worked for include the World Bank, Citicorp and AIG. Having spent decades in Asia and Japan, he works currently as the Chairman for Moomin Monogatari.
