Annual Report 2011 of the Science & Technology Office Tokyo
(S&T Office Tokyo, January 01, 2012) The Annual Report 2011 of the Science & Technology Office Tokyo offers an overview of the wide range of our activities in Japan. Key 2011 topics in this second edition include support offered by Swiss institutions to disaster stricken areas, the Swiss Solar Pavilion at the world’s leading photovoltaic exhibition, the Swiss Innovation Booth at Japan’s major innovation expo, the Swiss Science Corner at the world’s largest nanotech exhibition, and architecture related events, including the Valerio Olgiati Exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
In addition, we received the biggest delegation of Swiss high-level participants to STS forum, renewing the record yet again. Part of the delegation visited the X-ray free electron laser (XFEL) facility and the world's fastest computer "K". The bi-monthly Science-Switzerland newsletter and the monthly S&T Newsletter from Japan continues to grow in terms of number of subscribers.
Our work would not be possible without the vital support from the Swiss government and from our stakeholders, sponsors, partners, event participants, colleagues, and friends. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your interest, support and contribution.
